Leaving Space

One thing that has come up recently is the question, “So what are you going to do when you come back?”  In fact this is probably the most popular question, once I finish sharing my plans.  The answer is simple, “I don’t know”.  In that answer there is space for uncertainty and for growth.  I would be lying if I said I did not have ideas, I know that I want to continue working with children, but I am not sure in what capacity.  Sometimes I think that I want to stay in New England, at other times I think of moving to another city, or perhaps even another country.

As I get closer to leaving, the knowledge that I will always have a place here in case things go terribly is comforting.  However, that is not the point of this exploration, instead I am hoping to connect with people from all different places and learn about what other opportunities are available outside of the workplace.  I want to explore fully everything that the world has to offer and immerse myself in a whole new light of learning.   In this way, I am embracing how I learn best, out in the world, beyond the walls of a classroom, experiencing things for myself.

I hope that by leaving space, I can fully explore without limits all that this experience has to offer and use what I learn to make choices going forward.
